SitaraWare Overview[edit]
SitaraWare provides no-OS platform support for Sitara family of processors on the Texas Instruments recommended Sitara EVMs. SitaraWare provides Device Abstraction Layer libraries and peripheral/board level sample/demo examples that demonstrate the capabilities of the peripherals on the Sitara processors.
NOTE
Though SitaraWare is intended to support multiple processors of the Sitara family, support may be in a phased manner. The supported list of processors and the assosciated device abstraction layer of the peripherals as part of the library is mentioned in the release notes for every release.
SitaraWare 1.00.xx.xx (supports AM1808)[edit]
Quick Start Guide[edit]
For those who want a quick look on the SitaraWare deliverable, described below, are the steps to flash the SitaraWare bootloader and a system level demo application, that are delivered as part of the package on to the on board SPI flash. Once the board is flashed, the board can boot up and start the application, on power up
Flashing[edit]
- The demo application flashable image (binary/.bin) is at "examples\evmAM1808\demo\ewarm\demo.bin". This is a readily flashable application image.
- The bootloader flashable (AIS/.ais) is at the "bootloader\ewarm\boot.ais".
- These can be flashed as described here
Getting Started With The Package[edit]
An introduction to the directory structure, contents of the package, building applications with different tools supported, loading/flashing and executing the example applications can be found here
