Introduction[edit]
TI offers wide range of Bluetooth+BLE chipsets that suits your different needs.
Our chipsets CC256x is a dual mode Bluetooth 4.1 (4.2 for CC2564C device) solution (BT+BLE) device that supports multiple TI MCUs like: All MSP430 (with flash > 128kB) & Tiva C (Tiva TM4C123x (with Flash >=128KB) and TM4C129x (ALL)), MSP432 and STM32F4 family of devices. We have out of the box demo apps for the EVM’s MSP-EXP432P401R, MSP-EXP430F5438, DK-TM4C123G and DK-TM4C129X, STM32F4 and AM335x.
Choice of MCU/BT Chipset:
- If your usecase is to implement a Bluetooth Speaker, then the best product for you would be the Audio sink, Reference designs boards.
- If you want to transfer xxx bytes of data via bluetooth (or BLE), then you can go for any of the Bluetooth Evaluation boards (CC256XQFNEM or CC2564MODNEM) with the EVM Platform (MSP-EXP430F5438, DK-TM4C123G, DK-TM4C129X, MSP432 and STM32F4)
- If your usecase is to implement a Bluetooth Speaker, then the best product for you would be the Audio sink, Reference designs boards.

Note: The MSP-EXP430F5529 does not have the Terminal Output because the debug UART is shared with BT UART and only out of the box demo app that works on this demo is SPPLE Demo Lite.
