The power adapter that comes with this kit actually can be 5V instead of 12V. Experts on the forum explained that 12V is required only for certain extension modules. Unless such components are connected, 5V is ok.

Are the RM48_HDK schematics supposed to be a copy of the gerber files? because both downloads appear to be the same gerber art files. Additionally the Quick_Start_.pdf link appears to be broken. Thanks, Todd
