System Requirements for Simulators

From Texas Instruments Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

Please refer to the Code Composer Studio System Requirements page for the requirements to run simulation under Code Composer Studio.

In addition, the following is the recommendation for the host hardware configuration to get optimum performance while running multi core platform simulators under Code Composer Studio.

Additional Recommendation[edit]

Recommended Will more help
Memory 2GB Yes
Disk space 10GB No
Processor 3GHz Dual Core* Increasing GHz will. Increasing number of cores wont.
  • Even though multi-core chip simulators are not implemented as multi-threaded applications, better performance is observed on a dual core processor due to other user applications (Outlook, for example) and background processes getting scheduled on the second core. Increasing the number of cores beyond 2 does not show similar improvement in performance.
