System Analyzer Tutorial 8: Monitoring Activity on Keystone Architecture Devices[edit]
An important use of System Analyzer is to monitor the performance of the various subsystems that are involved in moving data around a device. In Keystone Architecture devices, some of the key subsystems that are involved are:
- EDMA3: the DMA engine
- EMIF: the External Memory Interface
- MSMC: the Multicore Shared Memory Controller
Tutorial topics:
In Tutorial 8, we will work through some examples that cover the following topics:
- Tutorial 8A: Using UIA to monitor EDMA3 transactions
- Tutorial 8B: Periodically logging Performance Monitoring Counters
