The Ka-Ro TX48 is based on the AM3354 processor from Texas Instruments and part of the Ka-Ro electronics' Computer-on-Module (CoM) family. Thanks to this family concept, the TX48 is pin-compatible with all the other Ka-Ro TX modules and the Starter-Kit so that application designers are able to develop scalable and flexible, future-proof solutions and achieve fast time-to-market.

Ka-Ro's ‘TX48 'Made in Germany' module has a clock speed of 720 MHz and a convincing price/performance. With its compact size of only 68 mm x 26 mm (SO-DIMM) it is suited to applications in industrial environments thanks to its extended temperature range of - 40 to + 85°C. 256 MB DDR3 SDRAM (16 bit) and 128MB NAND Flash ROM provide ample memory and 10/100 Mbps Ethernet and two high-speed USB 2.0 ports as well as 3x 4 Wire UARTs and a generous selection of connections for peripherals, such as CAN, LCD, I2C / PWM, SD-CARD, are standard features of the Aachen-based CoM specialists' module.

Windows CE, Android and Linux are available as operating systems for the Ka-Ro TX48 and the module comes with a long-term availability warranty of 7 years.

Measuring only 70mm by 50mm, the MYC-AM335X is a highly-integrated low-cost ARM embedded SOM (System on Module) supporting up to 1GHz Texas Instruments (TI) Sitara AM335x (AM3352, AM3354, AM3356, AM3357, AM3358 and AM3359) ARM Cortex-A8 processors.
