How to Run tutorial 4B[edit]

Note: Tutorial 4B uses the JTAG Run Mode transport, which requires the use of a multicore C6XXX emulation target.

  • Launch the target configuration you wish to use.
  • e.g. right click on the .ccxml file you created above and select "Launch Selected Configuration" from the context menu
  • Select all CPUs in the debug view, right click on one of them and select "Group Core(s)".
  • You can now either select the Group label to apply operations (run, reset, etc.) to the group of CPUs, OR select an individual CPU and apply operations to that CPU only.
  • GroupCpus.gif
  • With the Group 1 label selected:
  • Click on the ConnectButton.gif button in the Debug view toolbar.
  • Click on the ResetButton.gif button to reset the CPUs and clear any pending interrupts.
  • Load the program you created for this tutorial into the group of cores.

The program on each core should run to main, and a System Analyzer Welcome view should open up, saying that "Your system is configured to upload events while the target is running using JTAG"

Start System Analyzer:

  • Tools -> System Analyzer -> Live
  • click on the "Until data transfer is manually paused" radio button
  • click Run

In the Debug View, select the group:

  • run all CPUs by clicking on the RunButton.gif button in the Debug View toolbar
