Downloading Code Composer Studio[edit]


1. Right-click on the link below and open another window. Choose the desired Code Composer Studio v6 release:

Important! CCSv6 supports two operating systems (Windows and Linux) and has two installer options:
  • Off-line Installer: a compressed file (in .zip or .tar.gz formats) with the entire set of files that comprise a complete CCSv6 install. Choose this option if you need to install CCSv6 in multiple PCs.
  • Web Installer: an installer (in .exe or .bin format) that only downloads the specific components selected during install. Choose this option if you have a slow internet connection.


2. Clicking on the link of the desired version opens the my.ti.com registration page. Fill in the correct login information and click Log In.

3. The next page is the Export approval, which is required for this product. Fill in with the required information and hit Submit.

Note: in some cases the approval is instantaneous and you will be sent to the download page directly, thus the steps 4 and 5 below are optional.


4. A message with the subject TI SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD: APPROVED and the name of the installer file will be sent to the provided e-mail address. This message contains a limited-time link to download the software.

Important! Check the Junk or Spam folders in your Inbox, as the anti-spam protection system may not recognize it as coming from a valid source.


5. Click on the link and a browser window is opened to perform the download.

As a safety feature, the browser may block the download and will show a small box at the top of the window. Click on it to allow the software to be downloaded properly.


6. After the download is complete, either run the small installer or unzip the full installer file to a temporary directory and start running.
