DM8127 PinMux Resources
Introduction
[edit]
The Pin Mux Utility for TI ARM Cortex-A8 based microprocessors is a Windows-based software tool for configuring pin multiplexing settings
and I/O cell characteristics for the AM335x, AM35x, AM37x / DM37x, AM387x / DM814x, AM389x / C6A816x / DM816x and OMAP35x devices.
Please refer to the Pin Mux Utility page which provides instructions for installing and using the Pin Mux Utility. While the
utility does not provide the option to select DM8127, we can use it for DM8127 with the DM814x option because DM814x and DM8127 belong to
the same family and are pin compatible for common peripherals.
DM8127 Specific Instructions
[edit]
- Please follow the Software download and installation instructions given on the Pin Mux Utility page.
- Select the AM387x/DM814x option during program startup as shown here:
- As mentioned above, the DM8127 and DM814x devices belong to the same family and share a set of common peripherals. However certain peripherals are exclusive to each of them. For example, the Serial-ATA controller is available only on the DM814x while the CSI2 Serial Input interface, which is part of the Imaging Subsystem (ISS), is available only on the DM8127.
- Follow the usage instructions provided on the Pin Mux Utility page. Make sure that the functions exclusive to DM814x, as highlighted in Red in the pictures below, are NOT SELECTED for DM8127.
