DM6467 platform in DVSDK 3.10

Purpose

DVSDK 3.10 release does not explicitly support the older DM6467 EVM platforms, however it has been sanity tested to ensure that there are no critical stability issues. The latest production-quality software for this EVM is DVSDK version 2.0.0.22. This page describes the additional changes needs to be done for DM6467 platform and also lists the links to platform specific components. This page needs to be used with main GSG to compile and run DVSDK 3.10 on DM6467 platform.

DM6467 Specific Collateral

To use DM6467 on community Linux, first download DVSDK 3.10 for DM6467T. Next, download the following collateral specific for DM6467:

Also, make sure you install DM6467 UBL and u-boot in the platform. The DM6467T and DM6467 UBL images are bundled together (board-utils-dm646x.tar.gz) and available for download from the DVSDK 3.10 download page.

DM6467 Specific Software Changes to compile and install DVSDK images

• Follow the steps provided in the DM6467 GSG Software Setup page up to (and including) the Installing Software Components step.
• Then open the Makefile in dvsdk_#_##_##_## and change the line LINUXKERNEL_CONFIG=davinci_dm646x_1ghz_defconfig to LINUXKERNEL_CONFIG=davinci_dm646x_defconfig.
• Make sure Rules.make file has PLATFORM=dm6467 -- This will setup the DVSDK configuration for DM6467.
• Follow the rest of the steps provided in the software setup page to build and load DM6467 images.
