Common Platform Tracer Errata
CPT Device Errata[edit]
Devices: TMS320C6670,TMS320C6672,TMS320C6674, TMS320C6678 or TMS320TCI6616
- The input triggers on all CP Tracer modules are level inputs and the trigger output from AET and all CP Tracer modules are pulses. This may be fixed in a subsequent device update.
- If CP Tracer Event B, C and E are all selected, and the trace receiver's (XDS560v2 or ETB) buffer is set for circular buffer mode, the event traffic is sufficient to cause the STM module to not insert any new Master Ids (for STPv1 a Master Id is only generated after N nop cycles). When the buffer circulates the initial Master ID is overwritten, and identification of the data by the decoder is not possible. Workaround is to avoid using Event C and E over long periods of time. No fix expected for this problem.
CPT Software Errata[edit]
- When using Trace Control to switch to from the current receiver (ETB, XDS560v2) to NONE will cause CCS to crash. No workaround.
- If you enable Master Access Status messages through either CTPLib or CCS the trace display only shows "Master Request" in the message column and the raw master ids (bit field) in the data column, with no decoding of the actual master. This will be fixed in a future release.
