CCS UniFlash v1.1 Release Notes[edit]

Overview[edit]
Universal Flash Programmer for Texas Instruments devices. Provides a single interface for programming Flash memory and executing Flash based operations on supported targets.
This is the official build for the v1.1 release of the application. The main changes from the v1.0 build includes official support for Stellaris® ARM® Cortex™-M Microcontrollers and Ultra-Low Power 16-bit Microcontroller MSP430™, as well as various bug fixes and enhancements.
Please read the Known Issue(s) section for issues we are currently working on, and the Issues Reporting section for information on how to report issues you come across.
System Requirements[edit]
Disk Space - 300MB (2GB recommended)
Memory - 1GB (2GB recommended)
OS - Windows XP/7, Linux Distribution based on CCS requirements here
JRE 1.6 (or above) required
Installation Instructions[edit]
Download the CCS UniFlash Release Candidate build available at the following location:
Windows Version - 240MB
Linux Version - 186MB
- Note: the required JRE (1.6 or above) is not currently shipped in the Linux version at this time
- Note: root permissions might be required during installation

Version 2.0 is currently planned to be released in the September to November timeframe, and will introduce new features (ie; Serial support), new device support, and additional bug fixes.
Bug Fixes[edit]
List of changes from the v1.1 RC build:
- fixed a potential crashing issue when reporting errors during a Flash operation
- fixed a timed out issue on F2806x devices
List of changes since v1.0:
- MSP-FET430UIF firmware can now be updated via the command line tool automatically when configured for a MSP430 device
- fixed issue with command line arguments that are not supported was not reporting the correct error on MSP430 devices
- fixed issue with the wrong version of the command line tool being copied during the installer
- command line showing more incremental progress information now. The verbose and be turned off if desired
- fixed issue with GEL OnFileLoaded() errors at the end of program load
- fixed issue with "WARNING: Call to Symbol.getSymbolFileName() with no program loaded. No action performed." during program load
- fixed issue with loading code to the EEPROM memory locations of TMS570 devices
Improvements and Changes[edit]

- updated documentation to include information on verbose mode in the command line tool
- Added support for Stellaris and MSP430 devices and the associated communication interface support
- Added support for enabling/disabling ECC Auto Generation feature for supported F021 devices
