Q: What is the difference between the TMS320C5515 and TMS320C5535?[edit]
- A: The TMS320C5535 is based off the TMS320C5515 with larger package footprint, fewer pins (144 vs 196), and a larger pitch between pins. This extra space between pins enables a 4-layer PCB verses a 6-layer PCB. To achieve this pin reduction, the EMIF signals are excluded from the C5535.
Q: What Serial Flash memories are compatible with C5535/34/33/32 devices?[edit]
- A: The C5535/34/33/32 devices can boot from 24-bit SPI serial flash if the below requirements of the serial flash device are satisfied:
- SPI Flash Protocol Required for Bootloader:
- 03h Read Array opcode is supported
- 24-bit address immediately after 03h opcode
- MISO data immediately after 24-bit address
